With generous support from The Avenir Foundation, the Ars Nova Singers Endowment Fund was created to ensure our robust cultural presence well into the future. In order to realize the full potential of this Endowment, our goal was to raise $200,000 before March 2022.

Our Board of Directors enthusiastically embraced this challenge, and we are thrilled to let you know that we have achieved our goal! We are extraordinarily grateful for the participation and generosity of over 100 donors who made this possible!

Endowment FAQs

What’s an Endowment?

An Endowment is a long-term investment fund set aside for the benefit of a non-profit, like Ars Nova Singers. The principal, which is restricted (intended to never be spent), earns interest and dividends in perpetuity. A percentage of this interest can be withdrawn annually as needed to support our work, and the restricted principal acts as our financial bedrock long into the future.

How will Ars Nova’s Endowment be used?

Enhanced concert schedule to reach new audiences in diverse venues along the Colorado Front Range and beyond.
New recordings of live and studio performances.
New collaborations with exciting local artists.
Sponsoring local performances of other nationally and internationally recognized groups.
Expanding outreach through educational programming and interactions with local middle and high school students.
Sponsoring a regional choral festival.
Increasing the number of professional singers in the ensemble.

How does this relate to my Annual Giving?

Your generous annual contributions support our yearly budget, including artistic programming and salaries. It’s not invested for the future, like an Endowment gift.

Can I designate my Annual Gift for the Endowment Fund?

No — because these contributions serve different purposes, we ask that supporters make an Endowment Fund gift in addition to maintaining their existing Annual Giving.

Will my Endowment Fund gift be matched?

Yes! So long as your gift is received before March, 2022, it will receive an extremely generous match, amplifying your long-term impact.

What kinds of contributions are acceptable?

Gifts of cash, checks, or stocks may all immediately be invested into the Fund.

Can I make my contribution in increments?

Yes, you may choose to make an Endowment Fund pledge, allowing your contribution to be made in a series of payments over a period of up to three years. However, only monies received by March 2022 will be eligible for the generous match.

Who will manage the Endowment Fund?

Our Board of Directors oversees the Endowment, which is managed by The Denver Foundation, Colorado’s oldest and largest community foundation.

We bet the answer to this question is that you recognize the profound value of our work (and want to see it continue!). Endowment supporters understand the role creativity and innovation play in inspiring and enlightening our Denver Metro community.

Why now?

There’s never been a more critical time to bolster creative endeavors against future uncertainty and volatility. With the creation of our Endowment Fund, we’re proactively working to make sure Ars Nova Singers continues to serve the Denver Metro community for many years to come.
