Ars Nova Singers firmly opposes discrimination of every kind and the hatred and brutality that result from it. We stand compassionately for people of color and abhor the intolerable cruelty, bias, and bigotry they have endured through this nation’s persistent systemic racism.

We raise our voices in unity with the expanding worldwide chorus against racism in all its forms.
We recognize that institutions and ensembles of classical music like Ars Nova can do more to fight racism than they have in the past. We are committed to re-evaluating our core repertoire and ensuring that it amplifies the voices of Black composers and other composers of color, both historical and living. We are also actively pursuing collaborations with local performers and artists who reflect the diversity of our Colorado community.
